This settlement lies in a deep cove on north-eastern part of the island which is surrounded by a dozen large and smaller coves. Travna, Smokvica, Tičija Luka, Tatinja are only some of these bays with different types of beaches from which you can enjoy a spectacular sunsets. Once it was a fishing village, and today the inhabitants engage in agriculture, tourism and stone masonry. Its intimate atmosphere is ideal for a family vacation because of the beautiful beaches in the numerous coves, opportunities for long walks, cultural sights of rich Croatian history, famous Dalmatian specialties and numerous restaurants, pizzerias and bars.
