Ethno-Eco village Murvica is situated on the south side of the island, 4 km west of the town Bol. The village is characteristic for its original appearance, history, stone houses and stone paths that wind through the village. It is situated at 100 meters above sea level, offering a spectacular view of the Hvar channel and vineyards that stretch along the beaches. This sleeping beauty is best known for its rich history, most notably Dragon's cave/Zmajeva špilja and remains of the Glagolitic monastery. The name of the Cave is associated with the relief of a mystical dragon character found on the walls of the cave. The mentioned locality is about 20 meters deep and is divided into four rooms. In one of the rooms you'll find a chapel dedicated to Our Lady. On the other side of Murvice you can see the remains of monumental buildings, respectively a Glagolitic monastery, the first building that was built after inhabitation of this area. It is assumed that the same Glagolitics built the Blaca Desert, which is the most magnificent example of their unique architecture. The main beach in the settlement is of gravel-type however, there are many small coves along the south side of the island with similar gravely beaches, ideal for guests who want to enjoy the crystal-clear sea and relaxation that provides this wonderful hidden Ethno-Eco Village.
