Bol is one of the jewels of Croatia, and the best tourist resort on the island of Brac. The famous beach Zlatni Rat year brings thousands of tourists in Bol every year. It is located about 2 km outside the town. Bol has built around the village the tourist infrastructure with hotels, restaurants, bars. Zlatni rat is a paradise for wind surfers and the beach is full with other facilities. There is a beautiful stone promenade, which leads through the pine forest from the town of Bol to the beach Zlatni rat. There are numerous apartments and rooms for rent, and other tourist facilities in the village. Bol lives solely for tourism. It organizes the winter and summer masquerade and other events. WTA women's tennis tournament were recently held there. If you do not want to stay on Zlatni rat, full of people, you can visit hidden beaches towards the village Murvica, several kilometers from Bol. The beaches are of the same fine gravel as Zlatni rat, which the currents finely processed through the centuries. You can go with tourist boats on excursions from Bol and all around the island of Brac and to Hvar. Brac is the only Croatian island which has the airport so you can land directly in the vicinity of Bol. If you prefer, you can rent a cheaper accommodation in another towns on Brac: Povlja, Selce, Sumartin, Nerezisca and you are again within half an hour of drive from Zlatni rat. All these places except Nerezisca, which is located in the center of the island of Brac, has its beaches, clear waters, and intimate corners for those who love them.
